About DeviceKnit

Right now, you're using an early version of DeviceKnit. Play around with it, and watch as it grows. Tell us what you like and don't like on our Facebook page, twitter, or the Feedback tab on the right side of any page.

Who's it for?
DeviceKnit was created by some guys with a ton of electronics around the house. You may be one of those people too, or know one. We always wanted to make the most of the gadgets and devices we have, use technology to make our lives better, and share our solutions with other like-minded people.

What is it?
DeviceKnit is a place to share what devices you are using, but more importantly how you are using them. Our idea is simple: A "cookbook for gadgets" made up of "recipes" that we call knits. We're aiming to make these a structured way to easily see what combinations of hardware and software can be used to solve a problem or accomplish a goal. And, if you create an inventory on DeviceKnit of the electronics you own, you'll get suggestions of knits that are relevant to your stuff as they're added or become more popular on the site.
